Tonight's the night. Got the ticket voucher for the Serenity sneak in my back pocket, and Dawnise has another copy in case I get mugged.
And I have a copy on my notebook.
And one on my desktop at home.
I am not missing this.
Dawnise made us shirts for the screening - used her spiffy printer to print logo art, screen caps, and such onto muslin, and appliqued them onto shirts purchased just for the occasion.
Mine has this on the front (we have the full-sized print, signed by the artist, hanging in the pool table room downstairs), the movie logo on the back, the TV Series title on one arm, and Jayne, all bundled up in Jaynestown, on the other.
Thanks to Dawnise's quick thinking this morning, I even found my old brown coat - a leather jacket I've had since I was a teenager (and it still fits, sheesh).
Looking back on those two paragraphs, I've just shattered any illusions I might have been hold onto about not being a hopeless geek.
There was a short-lived idea at work about sending me to San Francisco today. I decided the price for me missing the screening was a 60" plasma screen. Needless to say, I'm not in San Francisco.
I just wonder if I'll get anything useful done today at all...
